Author Guidelines
Journal of Digital Economy Research accepts for publication previously unpublished manuscripts reflecting the research results in the field of the development of the digital economy, issues in digital transformation management, assessment of results and risks of digitalization at different levels, the challenges of international cooperation, and the development of separate industry and regional segments of the digital economy.
Authors' manuscripts are accepted in electronic form through the manuscript submission form or by e-mail, indicated in the contacts of the journal.
The key requirement for the content of manuscripts is to reflect the analysis of theoretical and empirical aspects of the development of the digital economy, as well as relevant examples from practice and cases, reviews of conferences and books, analysis of current innovative development trends, results of scientific discussions and interviews with leading experts and analysts.
Manuscripts accepted for publication must meet the following key requirements:
- The materials have not been previously published in other scientific journals and mass media;
- Materials meet the technical requirements for manuscripts;
- The team of authors of the submitted materials unanimously supports the publication of materials in the journal
- The manuscript is not under consideration in another scientific journal.
- Materials submitted for publication must correspond to the subject and direction of the journal's publication activity.
- Materials sent for publication must be accompanied by a cover letter reflecting the consent of all article authors to be published in the journal, compliance with all the requirements for materials in the "Politics and Ethics" section of Journal of Digital Economy Research
Technical requirements:
- Format .doc or .docx
- Figures are attached as separate files in .jpg or .png formats
- The name of the manuscript’s file must contain the full name as in fornat “author_title of the article_date of submission”
- Picture files are named according to the numbering of pictures in the text (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.)
- The manuscript of a research article should contain the following sections:
- Title page
- Information about the author (name, degree, position, ORCID, full name of the organization with postal address, e-mail)
- Current address
- Abstract (200-250 words), reflecting the essence of the article, its key issues and conclusions
- Keywords (8-10)
- Introduction
- Materials and methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Acknowledgments
- List of references
- List of figures
- List of tables
- The manuscript of the review article should contain the following sections:
- Title page
- Information about the author (name, degree, position, ORCID, full name of the organization with postal address, e-mail)
- Keywords (8-10)
- Current address
- Abstract (200-250 words), reflecting the essence of the article, its key issues and conclusions
- Text
- Acknowledgments
- List of references
- List of figures
- List of tables
- Tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals in the order in which they appear in the text. They should have a short descriptive title placed at the top. A brief description is also accepted. Footnotes can be placed below the table. Tables cannot duplicate the data contained in the text. Spreadsheets must be sent in Microsoft Word format and not have links to the other documents or archives.
- Figures must be submitted in electronic format in printable size with the following resolutions: 600 dots per inch (dpi) for line art and combinations; 300 dpi for grayscale and color. Color drawings must be provided in CMYK colors, not RGB. Please ensure that the prepared electronic image files are printed in a legible size and of high quality for publication.
- The list of references is located at the end of the article; all references are arranged in alphabetical order. If the sources have the same author/group of authors, they should be in chronological order.
- References should be indicated in the text with the author's name and year in brackets. In the case of two authors, both should be indicated. If there are three or more authors, list only the first author and then others. When two or more references are cited in the same brackets, the authors should be listed in chronological order. And if they have the same year, they should be in alphabetical order. At the same time, if there is more than one reference of one author and one year, they must be indicated by letters
- Requirements for the volume of the manuscript:
- Research article no less than 40 thousand characters and no more than 80 thousand characters;
- Review article of at least 30,000 characters and no more than 50,000 characters;
- Book review of at least 15,000 characters and no more than 30,000 characters.
Research article - scientific article that is original research and are devoted to a clearly formulated specific hypothesis or question. Documents should present new approaches and a new understanding of the problem under consideration.
Review Article - an article that is an attempt by one or more authors to summarize the current state of research on a particular topic. Ideally, the author looks for everything that is relevant to the topic, and then arranges it all to form a holistic view of the "state of art" in its current form.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
Internet links are provided as a complete URL.
Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text (and not at the end of the document).
Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in Regulations located in the Part "About Us."
Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the anonymity of reviewing.

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
